Elevated Floor Slab 3D Scanning: Ensuring Safe Demolition and Structural Confidence

OmniVueNDT performed 3D GPR scanning of an elevated floor slab to identify internal reinforcement prior to cutting a new staircase opening. The project required accurate detection of rebar, joists, and potential post-tension cables to prevent structural damage and safety risks. Using advanced GPR and LiDAR technologies, detailed subsurface data was collected and visualized in a 3D model. This allowed the project team to plan safe cutting paths, reduce risk, and proceed with confidence.
